- Set and communicate internal due dates for school principals to submit the Final Report
and the Upcoming School LAND Trust Plan.
- Collaborate with schools that have excessive carryover funds to ensure proper amendments
are submitted and funds are spent down appropriately.
- Review and finalize school Final Reports. Report any discrepancies between the school's
finance records and the School Children's Trust (SCT) team's data.
- Review and approve the Upcoming School LAND Trust Plan after it has been approved
by the Charter Governing Board.
Charter Business Administrators must adhere to the following timeline to effectively
support their schools in meeting School LAND Trust program requirements.
Throughout the Year (as needed)
- Review and approve School LAND Trust Plan Amendments following Board approval.
Fall
- Enter due dates on the School LAND Trust website for principals to submit the final
report and upcoming School LAND Trust Plan prior to USBE deadlines.
January
- Receive funding projections for the Upcoming School Plan from the School Children’s
Trust.
January 15th
- Final Report & Upcoming Plan forms are accessible to principals.
February
- SCT sends carry over report to LEAs. Work with schools with excessive carry-over to submit amendments and spend down funds.
March 1st
- Complete review of Final Reports to ensure that SLT financial chart matches LEA records,
carryover is less than 10% of the distribution, the School LAND Trust Plan was carried
out as planned, and an explanation for any deviations from the written plan are explained.
Before May 1st
- Review and approve all Upcoming Plans following Charter Governing Board Approval
