Content Integration

Welcome to Content Integration

Overview

As part of the Utah State Board of Education’s Portrait of a Graduate, a Content Integration Advisory Team was convened to provide access to high-quality instruction of all standards for all students.

What is Content Integration?

Integration is an approach to teaching in which learning experiences are intentionally designed for students to construct and demonstrate understanding in more than one discipline, which honors the nature of the contents and builds upon the natural connections.

Grade Level Core Standards Integration Crosswalks

To support elementary educators in teaching all content area standards, this resource has been developed to identify the natural connections between the standards in each discipline. Each grade level sheet contains all the core standards in content areas and identifies the natural connections between different core standards in: The Arts, English Language Arts, Health Education, Library Media, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.
