The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) Student Services Training Request Portal (TRP) is an online tool for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to request specific Professional Learning (PL) and Technical Assistance (TA) support from the USBE. The information submitted is used to help coordinate PL and TA across the state to ensure that LEA needs are addressed and met in an efficient manner.

Montana Institute Science of the Positive Workshop

USBE is hosting a one-day in-person workshop in conjunction with the annual Utah Prevention Coalition Association (UPCA) Summit at Bryce Canyon. The workshop will be focused on integration, skill building, and building collaboration between Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and Prevention Coalitions around the Science of the Positive and Community Norms and Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE). LEAs and coalitions will work together to identify a specific issue of concern in their community (such as school attendance or youth vaping) and will leave the workshop with a concrete plan to address the issue.

Workshop participants are encouraged to view the recordings prior to attending the workshop, as the webinars will provide important information that will help ensure the workshop is most effective. Recorded Webinars to be viewed prior to June 11.

The workshop will be held on June 11, 2024 from 9:00-3:30 p.m. at the Best Western Plus-Ruby’s Inn located in Bryce Canyon City, Utah.

Contact Clarissa Stebbing for registration and workshop availability.
