The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) takes its obligation to protect student data privacy very seriously. The Student Data Privacy program is focused on:

  • building public trust,
  • listening to and working with stakeholders on every level to ensure that student data are protected,
  • modeling best practices in data governance, 
  • disseminating practical solutions and training's for Local Education Agencies (LEAs), and
  • annually and publicly reporting measurements of program effectiveness.
