Title II, Part A: Building Systems of Support for Excellent Teaching and Leading
Overview
The purpose of Title II, Part A is to provide grants to State Educational Agencies (SEAs) and subgrants to Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) to:
- increase student achievement consistent with the challenging State academic standards,
- improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals, and other school leaders,
- increase the number of teachers, principals, and other school leaders who are effective in improving student academic achievement in schools, and
- provide low-income and minority students greater access to effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders.
Fiscal Year (FY) Annual Allocations to LEAs
Preliminary allocations have been assigned. You may find your LEA's funding based on the preliminary allocations in the Title II, Part A Support Resources Shared Folder under "Application Support".

Important Dates
Pre-applications open in May of each calendar year.
Applications will be available on Utah Grants no later than October 1 of each calendar year.
Grant applications are due by November 30 of each calendar year.
