School-based Mental Health Qualified Grant Program

Overview

The state board shall distribute money appropriated under this section to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to provide, in a school, targeted school-based mental health support, including clinical services and trauma-informed care, through employing or entering into contracts for services provided by qualifying personnel.

2020 Fiscal Year Application Cycle

Local Education Agencies interested in receiving School-based Mental Health Qualified Grant funding need to successfully complete and submit a comprehensive plan, to be approved by the Utah State Board of Education.

Interim Feedback Dates

Local Education Agencies who submit by the following dates/time will receive feedback from the Utah State Board of Education review team and staff outcomes prior to the final due date.

May 16, 2019 by 5 p.m.
May 22, 2019 by 5 p.m.
May 29, 2019 by 5 p.m.

Application Final Due Date: Friday, June 7, 2019 at 5 p.m.

Send completed application for interim feedback and/or the final application due date to Sarah Young at sarah.young@schools.utah.gov as a digital link to the completed plan.

Note: To be considered, the Utah State Board of Education must receive your electronic copy by the dates specified above. All e-mail submissions will be confirmed with a receipt e-mail from the Utah State Board of Education within 24 hours. A Local Education Agency shall resubmit if a receipt is not received.
