CTE

CTE Scholarships and Tuition Awards cover the cost of tuition for the first year of school at the colleges and universities listed on the scholarship application. Each year, some of these over 100 scholarship go unclaimed. Review the list of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) CTE Scholarship Schools and two-year programs at Utah colleges and universities awarding CTE Scholarships and Tuition Awards to FACS students.

Scholarships and Tuition Awards

Please note:

  • Students who plan to be FACS educators may apply. This is the only four-year degree program that qualifies for the CTE Scholarships and Tuition Awards.
  • Students who plan to be being elementary educators should not apply; they do not qualify.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

Scholarship Information

FCCLA offers the following scholarships:

  • There are four $1,000 scholarship for students who plan on becoming FACS educators.
  • Interviews for the scholarship take place at the Utah FCCLA State Conference.
  • The deadline for the scholarship application is March 1 of each year.
  • Send completed applications to Nikki Sue Larkin, Utah State FCCLA Advisor at the address on the application.

Utah Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (UAFCS) 

Scholarship Information

UAFCS offers the following three scholarships: 

  • Winifred Jardine Scholarship for High School Students that Want to Become a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher - $500.
  • Outstanding FACS Undergraduate Scholarship - $100.
  • Outstanding FACS Graduate Scholarship - $300.
  • The deadline for the scholarship application is March 1 of each year.
