Jennifer Graviet has been teaching junior high English and creative writing for over twenty years. With Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and psychology and a Master of Arts degree in psychology, Graviet graduated summa cum laude in both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.
As Weber School District’s 2012 Teacher of the Year, Graviet has also been the state coach for the Teacher Leadership Initiative, a member of Utah’s Education Excellence Task Force, the language arts department chair at her school, and the recipient a various teaching awards: Global Fellow Recipient (for which she represented Utah in an educational trip to schools in China), California Casualty’s Award for Teaching Excellence, Excellence in Teaching Award from the Southwest Region of Alpha Delta Kappa, and runner up for Utah’s State Teacher of the Year.
When she’s not teaching or teaching about teaching, Graviet is reading, traveling, scuba diving, hiking, snowshoeing, gardening, swimming, or surrounding herself with her favorite people and animals.
