SIS 2000+ Permission Assignment

Last update: 09/02/2000 jmm

This program automates the assignment of permissions to SIS 2000+ users. It creates Permission Groups that are sets of access permissions to specified applications in SIS 2000+ (just as with the 'Permissions' tab in the Faculty Editor). The access permissions for a group can then be applied to any number of faculty members belonging to the logged on school site. After assigning permissions to a group of faculty members, the current permission status of an individual faculty member may be viewed and edited.

See Faculty Editor, Sec. 9, "Edit 'Permissions' Data" for more further reading.

This application should not be confused with the Permission Editor, which defines access to the various features (command buttons, forms, and other objects) of a SIS 2000+ application.

1. Open Permission Assignment
From SIS 2000+'s Main Menu, open the System Menu. From the System Menu, click on the Permission Assign icon button.
