SIS 2000+ New Year Initialization

Last update: 09/02/2000 jmm

When a school is transitioning from one school year to the next, the New Year Initialization program is used to create future tracks for the upcoming school year by copying track attributes, student status records, faculty status records, master schedules, and so on. After this is accomplished, the End Year procedure can be executed for the purpose of closing out the student status records of the previous school year. See End Year for more information.

It is recommended that only Database Administrators perform this process, not end-users.

Due to its highly technical nature, documentation for New Year Initialization is not included in this Applications Documentation. To read more about this procedure go to the Main page of the SIS 2000+ Reference web site. Then go to Technical Guides > Processes > New Year Initialization Procedure.
