SIS 2000+ New Year
Initialization

When
a school is transitioning from one school year to the next, the New Year
Initialization program is used to create future tracks for the upcoming
school year by copying track attributes, student status records, faculty
status records, master schedules, and so on. After this is accomplished,
the End Year procedure can be executed for the purpose of closing out the
student status records of the previous school year. See

It is recommended that only Database Administrators perform this process, not end-users.
