SIS 2000+ Faculty Editor
Sec.
9, Edit 'Permissions' Data
"Permissions" refers to what areas (applications and reports) of SIS 2000+ the selected faculty member is authorized to use. The selected faculty member cannot enter those areas of SIS 2000+ that are not checked as "Yes" in this Permissions screen. Furthermore, the application icon buttons will not show on the faculty member's menus unless they are checked as "Yes" in this procedure.
Further permissions can be defined in regard to the application features
(command buttons, data fields, tabs) within an application. This
is done using a separate application, apart from the Faculty Editor, also
named "Permissions". For more details see Permissions.
| Important Note:
If the faculty member was granted System Administrator status on the 'General' tab (See Sec. 4) then that faculty member automatically has access to all SIS 2000+ applications and functions. In this case, the Permission attributes in this screen are not applicable. |
