6, Edit 'Status' Data
Status data, in the context of the Faculty Editor, is a history of the
teacher's assignments within the school district. Each record in the 'Status'
screen is a track assignment. A Status
record must be created with the appropriate track assignment for
any teacher who will be teaching classes in the Master Schedule.
The read-only mode of this tab lists each Status record in an abbreviated
form in a summary list (Fig. 16). To view the full details of a Status
record or edit an existing Status record, click on the target entry in
the summary list until it is selected with a small black pointer on the
left. Then click on the Edit command button to activate the edit
mode (Fig. 17).

Use the single, small VCR buttons to scroll forward or backward
through the current faculty members status records. Edit attributes of
a Status record or use the blue-colored New command button to open
a new Status record in the entry mode. Enter attributes of a status record,
as follows:

Status -
Select the faculty member's status for this record using the predefined
drop-down list, such as "Active", "Part Time", etc. Available selections
are defined by the district during the configuration of SIS 2000+.

Track -
Select an attendance track for this assignment.

Entry Date -
Beginning date of assignment. Normally this would be the first day
of the track assigned (unless the faculty member was hired or switched
mid-year)

Exit Date -
Ending date of assignment.

Evaluation Date -
Date of job performance evaluation for this assignment, if applicable.

FTE -
Enter a "Full Time Enrollment" value for state reporting, if applicable.

Job Class -
Select the type of job classification for this assignment from the
drop-down list, if applicable. Available selections are defined by the
district during the configuration of SIS 2000+.

Supervisor Class -
Select the type of supervisor classification for this assignment from
the drop-down list, if applicable. Available selections are defined by
the district during the configuration of SIS 2000+.

Teacher -
Check this box if the faculty member will be a teacher for this assignment.

Counselor -
Check this box if the faculty member will be counselor or advisor for
this assignment.

Certificated -
Check this box if the faculty member has a certificate of qualification
for this assignment.

Site Admin -
Check this box if the faculty member is a school site administrator
for this assignment (such as principal, vice-principal, etc.).

Database Admin -
A database administrator is responsible for SIS 2000+ database management
at a specific school site. Check this box if the faculty member is an authorized
SIS 2000+ database administrator for this assignment.

Chg By (Changed by) -
A read-only field. Displays the initials of user who last entered or
edited data in this status record

Chg Dt (Date changed) -
A read-only field. Displays the date of the last changes made in this
status record
Save data by clicking on the Save command button, or Undo
to discard all changes and exit the edit mode.
Deleting a Status record
In the edit mode, select a Status record to delete. Click on the blue-colored
Delete command button. In the dialog box that appears (Fig. 18),
answer "Yes" to confirm the deletion or "No" to abort.

CAUTION: If the faculty member has been scheduled in the Master Schedule
using the track of the Status record to delete, the Status record cannot
be deleted. An error message will occur (Fig. 19).
