Faculty Banner fields:
The first four fields in the upper portion of the Faculty editor screen,
Last Name, First, Title, Faculty ID, Gender,
and Ethnicity, will always be visible from any tab. However, they
can only be edited when the 'General' tab is visible in the edit mode.

Last Name -
Last name of faculty member.

First -
First name of faculty member.

Title -
Prefix title for faculty member, such as Mr., Mrs., Ms., Dr.

Faculty ID -
A system-defined faculty identification number has been assigned when
this record was first created. This field may or may not be editable depending
on the data replication scheme used in the computer network hosting SIS 2000+:
The ID number may be edited by the user if data is being replicated from
the district office server downward to the school site servers or
there is no replication function in the network. The ID number may not
be edited if data is being replicated from the school sites upward
to the district office server. In this case the field will be read-only.

Gender -
Male or female.

Ethnicity -
Select ethnicity of faculty member from choices available.

Birth Date -
Birthday of faculty member.

SSN -
Social Security Number of faculty member.

Hire Date -
The first day employed by the school district.

Edit Password -
This field is used to assign a password to a faculty member for the
purpose of logging on to SIS 2000+. Existing passwords may changed using
this function. . Click on the Password command button. This action
opens the 'Change Password' screen (Fig. 14).

If there has been no password assigned to this faculty member, skip
the Current Password field and go to the New Password field,
enter the password to be assigned, and enter it again in the Verify
Password field. Click on Save to verify, or Cancel to
abort.

To change a password already assigned, first enter the current password
in the Current Password field. Then enter the new password in the
New Password field. Enter it again in the Verify Password
field. Click on Save to verify, or Cancel to abort.

If you enter the wrong Current Password you will not be able to
complete the 'Change Password' procedure. Likewise, if the Verify Password
does not match the New Password an error message will occur. If
you have forgotten the Current Password, refer to the System Administrator
to recover it.

E-mail -
E-mail address of faculty member, if applicable.

URL -
Internet address affiliated with faculty member, if applicable.

Autodate -
If the faculty member changes the SIS 2000+ system date while logged
on, checking this box will cause that system
date to remain in effect for that user the next time they log on. If
deselected, the system date will always default to the system date
of the operating system of the network server.

System Administrator -
A system administrator has full access to all applications and features
of SIS 2000+. Check this box to grant the faculty member authorized SIS 2000+
system administrator status. Only another system administrator will have
access to this field.

Flags -
Six check boxes are available as database "flags" (markers) . These
are Yes/No logical fields that can be defined in SIS 2000+'s internal data
dictionary by the system administrator via the Database Manager interface.
These flags are useful for a variety of purposes, such as sorting, grouping,
mailing, etc. Check the appropriate boxes for the current faculty record
according to the customized labels defined, if applicable.
Save data by clicking on the Save command button, or Undo
to discard all changes and exit the edit mode.
