2, Set Parameters
Schedules can be viewed in several different modes according to parameters
set. Before scheduling or unscheduling courses, it is recommended to set
the parameters for optimal viewing as follows:
2.1 Set the View by Cycle or by Term
Select Cycle or Term by clicking either option in the
View field.
-
If the Cycle option is selected:
This is the default setting. All cycle days will be viewed as columns
across the schedule grid (if there is only one cycle day there will only
be one column). Now select a scheduling term to view in the Select Term
field (Fig. 10).

If the Term option is selected:

2.2 Set Display Date
When there is a combination of all year courses and semester courses
in the same Master Schedule, individual student schedules may change as
the school year progress through its terms. Schedules may also change from
time to time within a scheduling term due to walk-ins, cancellations
or withdrawals, etc. To view a student's schedule as of a specific day
within the school year, set the "display date" in the Show Schedule
as of field (Fig. 12). (The default display date is Today's date).
Fig. 12 - display date
To change the default date, double click the field or click on the field
button to activate a drop-down calendar (Fig. 13). Use the small VCR buttons
to navigate the calendar to the target month. Select the target date within
the target month until it is highlighted in yellow. Then click on the Select
command button. The calendar will close and the target date will be copied
into the date field.

2.2.1 Shortcut to find
a display date using the History field
Click the field button to activate a drop-down list in History
field (Fig. 14). A list of dates is displayed, showing a date for any schedule
changes that have been made for this student as well as all term marker
dates. Select a target date with the mouse and the display date will automatically
update to that date in the Show Schedule as of field. The
schedule grid will show the student's schedule as it was (or is) on that
date.
