SIS 2000+ Teacher's Summary of Attendance Sample Report Last update: 04/22/2001 jmm |
This is an example of a class that is scheduled across two consecutive
periods: Periods 3 - Lu (using the segment feature in the
Master Schedule). A student in the roster that is enrolled in both segments
will have a separate line in the grid for each period.
Total absences for each student during the date range are displayed in the Abs column. An absence in only one of the two periods is counted as one (1) absence for the class on that day. An absence in both periods is also counted as only one (1) absence. In other words, a student cannot be counted as absent more than once for a class on a specified day, even though that class meets for two periods. Not all Attendance codes are counted as absences. It depends on the way Attendance codes are defined in the Attendance set up procedures. The example below is of a negative attendance track, where all students are assumed present unless marked otherwise. The (.) symbol displayed in many of the cells in the grid is the default place holder code for 'Present'.
A student enrolled in a class as a teaching assistant will be listed at the bottom of the roster, preceded by a (TA) flag.
