Total absences for each student during the date range are displayed in the Abs column. Not all Attendance codes are counted as absences. Not all Attendance codes will be counted as absences. It depends on the way Attendance codes are defined in the Attendance set up procedures. The example below is of a negative attendance track, where all students are assumed present unless marked otherwise. The (.) symbol displayed in many of the cells in the grid is the default place holder code for 'Present'.

 
A student enrolled in a class as a teaching assistant will be listed at the bottom of the roster, preceded by a (TA) flag.
