To print this page, set left and right print margins at
0.2"
Course attributes are displayed in two or three lines
per course record. "Notes" will be inserted between the two main
lines if Include Notes is checked in the 'Options' tab. All data
is queried from the District Courses database with the exception of the
last five fields on the first line, which are from the Track Course database.
Top line, from left to right:
-
Course Code - course identification number
-
Course - course description
-
Department - district category for administrative
purposes
-
size - "Section Size". Maximum number of students
allowed to be enrolled in a section of this course
-
tas - "Teaching Assistant Section
Size". Maximum number of teaching assistants allowed in a section of this
course
-
status - course status, such as 'Active', 'Inactive',
'Future', 'Dropped', etc.
-
terms - duration of the course in terms
-
periods - duration of the course in periods
-
grades/lo - "Low Grade". Lowest grade level of student
allowed to take this course
-
grades/hi - "High Grade". Highest grade level of student
allowed to take this course
-
gnder - gender restrictions:
C= Co-ed, M=male, F= female
-
sch - "Can be Scheduled". Can
this course be scheduled in the master schedule? Y/N
-
take att - "Take Attendance".
Y/N. If Yes, teachers will receive an attendance sheet for this course.

cnt att - "Count Attendance".
Will attendance be counted for state reporting purposes? Y/N
-
con - "Conflict OK". Can this course be scheduled
without conflict restrictions in the same time period as another course?
Y/N

mark - "Assign Grades". Y/N

hist - "Post to History". Will
the this course be recorded in student transcripts? Y/N

var - "Variable Credit". Y/N

alt code - "Alternate Code". Alternate course identification
number.

F1 - Course User Flag 1. Y/N

F2 - Course User Flag 2. Y/N
The next five attributes are displayed in the first
line only when Track Courses is selected in the 'Options' tab:
-
Nsec - "# of Sections". The number
of sections that will be taught for this course in the specified track.
Based on pre-registration analysis of course requests vs. resources.
-
ppc - "Periods Per Cycle". The
number of periods this course will meet per cycle day in the specified
track.
-
term - term restriction, if any,
for the specified track. A term code will be displayed, such as 'S1' for
Semester 1, etc. No value displayed means there are no restrictions as
to which term this course can be scheduled.

period/lo - "Earliest Period" this course can be scheduled
in the specified track.
-
period/hi - "Latest Period" this course can
be scheduled in the specified track.
Middle line:
-
Notes - anecdotal, user defined comments. This line
is only displayed if Include Notes is selected in the 'Options'
tab.
Bottom line, from left to right:
-
Subject - Describes the general category assigned
to the course. Used in conjunction with Graduation Requirements.
-
grad credit -"Graduation credit". A numerical value
for how many credits are granted by completion of this course towards graduation
requirements.
-
GPA credit - The numerical value used from this
course in calculating GPA. This value is normally the same as a credit.
-
credit type - The type of credit awarded for this
course (such as Carnegie, etc.).
-
CIP code - "Classification of
Instructional Program code" using Federal Vocational Education protocol
(if applicable).
-
mark set - "Mark Set Code". The type of marks are
used to grade this course, such as "Numerical", "Letter marks with +/-",
etc.
-
SPEEDE/ExPRESS - course code
for Electronic Data Exchange protocol.
-
GPA level - a value from 0 -9 assigned to the course.
Different GPA levels have different GPA values for marks earned (as defined
in Mark Reporting.
-
work level - Electronic Data
Exchange protocol sub-code. Examples: 'Normal', 'Hard', 'Very Hard', 'Easy',
etc.
-
GPA types - Single digit
codes that represent all the types of GPA calculations
that will be used for this course, such as 'Honors', 'Overall', 'Overall
weighted', etc.
-
date from - Beginning date for this course record.
-
date to - Ending date for this course record, if applicable.
