SIS 2000+ How to Login
1. Start SIS 2000+
- From the desktop of the computer screen, click on the SIS 2000+ program
- You will see the SIS 2000+ Login screen (Fig. 1) where you can use the TAB key to
move from field to field:
2. Enter Login information
- Select a School site
Select a school site or district office site from the School
field using the drop-down list activated by the field
button. Though all school sites in the district will be listed, only
those sites to which the user has been assigned permission can ultimately
be accessed. To get permission to access a site the user must be assigned
to a track within the target school.
This procedure is carried out in the Faculty Editor program. See
Faculty Editor, Sec. 6, Edit 'Status' Data for more information.
Possible error message -
Attempting to access a school site where the user is
not assigned will result in the following error message:
Enter a user Identification number or enter three or more
characters of the last name in
the Name field. Press ENTER. If the program recognizes the ID or
Last Name as unique, the full ID number, last name, and first name of the
user will appear on the screen and the focus
will jump to the Password field. However, if there is more than
one user in the system with the same last name, a selection list will appear
(Fig. 3). In this case, select (highlight) the correct name from the list and click
the Select command button.
- Enter password
Enter the correct password. The characters entered will appear only as
###### symbols for security purposes. Passwords are case-sensitive, meaning it
matters whether or not you enter lowercase or capital letters.
- Execute Login
After all data is properly entered (Fig. 4), click on the Login
command button, or press ENTER.
3. Select a Track
In the last step of the login procedure, just before accessing the SIS 2000+
Main Menu, the user may be prompted to select a track (Fig.
5) if the following tree conditions are all true:
The user is logging on to a specific school site rather than a District
The school site has more than one attendance track currently in use.
The user is assigned as 'Active' in more than one current attendance track
at the school site.
Select (highlight) a track in the list and click on the Select command
button to continue to the SIS 2000+ Main Menu (Fig. 6).
