SIS 2000+ Health
This
program keeps track of medical screening tests administered to students.
The user interface allows for the tracking of follow up dates, results
of tests, doctor referrals, and more. Medical alerts entered in this program
will appear in the selected student's record in the Student Editor program.
All student names with basic demographic data from the Student Editor program
will automatically appear as records in the Screenings screen, according
to the group selected.
The Health Screenings program relies substantially on user-defined selections
for much of the data entered. These definitions are set up in the Table
Editor during the configuration of SIS 2000+ and in the Screen
Result Edit program (see Sec. 8). Many of the other data fields in
the Screening program are flexible and general in nature so that they can
be used at the user's discretion according to the district's requirements.
7.1 Open Health Screenings
Click on the Screenings button in the Health module's main menu screen
(or ALT+S on the keyboard). The opening screen (Fig. 25) will default to
the first student in the SIS 2000+ database, alphabetically by last name
in the read-only mode, according to the student group selected. Screening
records (if any) for the selected student will be listed in summary form,
in descending chronological order.

7.2 Find a student
Scroll forward or backwards through the student records using the VCR

or the Listbutton to initiate a search. See
Sec. 1, step 1.2 for further instructions on the Find procedure.
7.3 Add a screening record

Fig. 28 - remote view of the Health
Providers database
Use the VCR buttons at the bottom of the remote screen to scroll
forward or backward through the list of medical providers, or use the Find
or List command buttons to locate a provider name.(see Sec.
1 for more details on the Find procedure) When the record of the provider
name to refer is found, click on the Select button at the bottom
right of the screen. This action will exit the remote view of the Provider
database and revert to the 'Doctor Referral' tab (Fig. 27) and display
the doctor selected.
If the doctor needed is not currently in the Providers database, the name can be added using the Assign procedure without leaving the Health Screening program. The Assign button is actually a link to the Provider Information program, allowing the user to have access to all Provider Information functions without having to exit the Screenings program. For example, you may add a provider, edit a provider, delete a provider etc., and then click on Select to go back to where you left off in the Health Screenings program. The displayed doctor name in the remote Provider database screen when the Select button is clicked will be entered automatically as the Referred Doctor in the Health Screening program. For more details on the Providers program see Sec. 11.
7.3.3 Save Data
Click the Save button at the bottom of either screen to save
data, or Undo to abort.
7.3.4 View the new screening record.
Click on the Done button to return to the Student Screening
List screen (Fig.25). The new entry will appear as a line in the list,
sorted in its chronological order. Repeat above steps for each new screening
record to add.
7.5 Edit a screening record
In the Student Screening List use the up/down arrow keys or the mouse
to select the screening record to be edited. A screening record is selected
when a small, black right arrow appears in the row header in the far left
column of the list. Click on the Edit button to go into the edit
mode. The record's sub-screens will appear. Use the TAB key to move from
field to field. After editing data click Save and then Done
to exit the edit mode.
7.6 Exit the Screenings program
Click the Quit button (or CTRL+Q on the keyboard) to exit the
Screenings program.
