Sec. 7, Health Screenings

This program keeps track of medical screening tests administered to students. The user interface allows for the tracking of follow up dates, results of tests, doctor referrals, and more. Medical alerts entered in this program will appear in the selected student's record in the Student Editor program. All student names with basic demographic data from the Student Editor program will automatically appear as records in the Screenings screen, according to the group selected.

The Health Screenings program relies substantially on user-defined selections for much of the data entered. These definitions are set up in the Table Editor during the configuration of SIS 2000+ and in the Screen Result Edit program (see Sec. 8). Many of the other data fields in the Screening program are flexible and general in nature so that they can be used at the user's discretion according to the district's requirements.

7.1 Open Health Screenings
Click on the Screenings button in the Health module's main menu screen (or ALT+S on the keyboard). The opening screen (Fig. 25) will default to the first student in the SIS 2000+ database, alphabetically by last name in the read-only mode, according to the student group selected. Screening records (if any) for the selected student will be listed in summary form, in descending chronological order.
