SIS 2000+ Health

The
Immunizations program keeps track of a student's immunization history according
to the Immunization Rule (Sec. 5) assigned to that student. In this application,
the date due for each immunization in the assigned Rule is automatically
calculated against the student's birth date (although it can be overridden
in the edit mode) and an immunization schedule for that student is thus
generated. Dates of completed immunizations plus comments are then entered
to maintain the student's immunization history.
There are two interfaces used to record data: 1) The Immunization interface, designed for health professionals, enables the students' immunization schedule to be defined and maintained and is fully editable. 2) The Immunization Entry interface, designed for health clerks, is for rapid entry of completion dates only - no scheduling capability is provided.
It must be noted that though the immunization schedule for a student
may be "bulk assigned" by choosing an Immunization Rule in this program,
"completed" immunizations will remain on the student's record even
if the immunization schedule is changed by reassigning the Immunization
Rule. Furthermore, the dose number of subsequent immunizations of the same
type will automatically number themselves sequentially (these dose numbers
can also be overridden).
4.1 Open Immunization Status Record screen.
Click on the Immunizations button on the main menu screen of
the Health module. The opening screen (Fig. 13) will default to the first
student in the SIS 2000+ database, alphabetically by last name, according
to the group selected.

4.2 Find a student.
Scroll forward or backwards through the student records using the VCR
buttons at the bottom of the screen or click on the Find button
or the List button to initiate a search. See
Sec. 1, step 1.2 for further instructions on the Find procedure.
4.3 Bulk assign an immunization schedule by assigning an Immunization
Rule
This procedure is best used for students with blank immunization status
records. If there is a Rule already assigned, go to Step 4.8, "Change the
Immunization Rule."
4.3.2 Click on the field button in the Immunization Rule field to display a list of predefined rules (Fig.14). Select the appropriate Rule for the student according to district or state guidelines.

See Step 4.4.2 for information on the remaining fields.
4.6.2 Click on the row header of the immunization record to be deleted. A small black arrow signifies that row is selected, or, select the desired record by using the UP and DOWN arrow keys.
4.6.3 Click on the Delete button at the bottom of the screen. A dialog box appears (Fig. 15). Answer "Yes" to confirm or "No" to abort the process.

4.7.3 Use the TAB key to move from field to field within the line. Edit selections.
4.7.4 Click on the Save button to
save data, or Undo to clear.
4.8.1 Click on the Select New Rule button in the upper right corner of the screen.
4.8.2 Click on the field button in the Immunization
Rule field to display a list of predefined rules (Fig.14). Select the
appropriate Rule.
For rapid entry of Date (Administered), Verify and Status information per student, open the Immunization Entry interface from the Health Menu. Find the target student and click the Edit command button to open activate the entry mode. The screen functions similar to the Immunizations screen, but does not allow the Select New Rule feature nor the access to the Req, Comp, or Xmt fields.

The immunization data displayed here is from the same tables as the
Immunization screen. The data entered in the Immunization Entry screen
will be copied to the Immunizations screen and visa versa.

Click the Quit button (or CTRL+Q on the keyboard) to exit either
program.
