Using the GradeBook Spreadsheet Utilities

Run the GradeBook Spreadsheet report for the desired class. Use [Locate]
to place the class spreadsheet file in a location other than on the Desktop.
Check Copy Utilities if a new copy of the GButilities spreadsheet is needed.

Find the class spreadsheet file which the GradeBook program uploaded to
your computer when you ran the Spreadsheet report. Double click this
file to open it using Excel.

After Excel starts and displays the spread sheet, open the GButilities
spreadsheet. To do this, press <Ctrl O> (or select Open from the
File pull-down menu). Use the Open file dialog box to navigate to
the location of the Gbutilities file, which may be in the same location
as the class spreadsheet.

If Excel is set to warn about opening spreadsheets with macros, a
dialog box will be displayed. Click the [Enable Macros] button.

Press <Ctrl TAB> to switch back to the class spreadsheet.

Press <Alt F8> (or select Macros from the Macro option under the Tools
pull-down menu.

Highlight the macro with the name GBformat and click [Run].

The reformatted spreadsheet is displayed.

To optionally add average and standard deviation statistics to the bottom
of each task column, press <Alt F8> to display the Macro menu.

Select the macro with the name GBstatistics and click [Run].
Note #1: these macros can only be run on GradeBook spreadsheets where
the Display method is Points.
Note #2: the GBformat macro must be run before GBstatistics.
