Sec. 15d, POS Designer / Copy a Configuration

The Designer includes a Copy tool which allows an existing configuration to be copied, and then assigned to a school. The school may be the currently selected school or a different school.  All pages present in the current configuration are copied.  If Food Item Availability is identical for each school, then all Food Item buttons are also copied. If the source configuration has food items that are not available to the destination school, then the buttons for those items are not copied. Only the buttons for food items that are mutually available will be copied.  For example, the source school is a secondary school, and the destination school is an elementary school.  Chances are the secondary school has ala Carte Items that are not available for an elementary school.  Buttons representing those items will not be copied to the destination elementary school.

15d.4 Modify the Copy

The Description for the copied POS Configuration is appended with 'copy' for identification purposes.  This text may be edited.  The copy in Fig. 6 is the product of copying a middle school ala Carte configuration (Fig. 1) to an elementary school.  Only two of the eighteen food items were mutually available.

The copied configuration may be modified using the same editing procedures.  See Sec. 15c, Edit a Configuration.
