Reference Guide Rates 1 - How to Create a District Meal Rate

Completed District Rate, Elementary Breakfast Student Free
- Run Food Services Rates
- Select School type
- Click on the Add button to display the Rate Editor.
Complete the following for the new rate.
- Select Food type
- Tab to and select Consumer type
- Tab to and select Pay type
- Tab to and complete Effective and Expire dates ** see
Sec. 4, Rules for Rate Change Records, Sec.
4a.1.6, Rate Effective and Expire Dates
- Tab to and complete Rate 1 & Rate 2
- Tab to and complete Worker rate
- Click on the Tot Reim drop down list box and complete the reimbursement
rates for this meal.
- Save and Done
Each School Type typically has the following rate configurations:
Breakfast -
Student Free, Student Reduced Student Paid (regular), Faculty, Adult
and Child
Lunch -
Student Free, Student Reduced Student Paid (regular), Faculty, Adult
and Child
Pre-Kindergarten School Type complete Student rate configurations
only (omit Faculty, Adult and Child)
Milk Rate configurations are needed only if:
- Milk is a reimbursable Item (SMP)
- Or, you wish to include Milk sales on Meal Reports. To include non-reimbursable
Milk sales on Meal reports, complete a Milk Meal Rate and set reimbursement
for each rate to "0.00".
Otherwise, include Milk as an ala Carte Item. If Meal Rate configurations
are created for Milk, set Milk Rates as per the above School Type requirements.
