SIS 2000+ Procedures Food Services
The Class Entry module is another method of recording meal/milk service.
Class Entry is designed for schools that send students to the Cafeteria
organized by class, and do not wish to use barcodes or numeric entry to
record service. Class Entry may be used to record a Breakfast Meal, a Lunch
Meal, SMP Milk and ala Carte Milk service for students. Student Worker
status for a Breakfast Meal or a Lunch Meal may also be indicated. Entries
are stored by date. Change the login date to view and edit service records
for different dates.
Payments and other ala Carte service may not be recorded using this
module. Item selection for Class Entry is limited to one Breakfast item,
one Lunch item, ala Carte Milk, and SMP Milk. If you wish to record service
for food items in addition to these items, do so using the Cafeteria module.
14.1 Login to Class Entry
From the Food Service main menu, click on the Class Entry button to
launch the login screen. Select the Meal, Cash Drawer, and
verify the Date to process. Click on the Select button to
launch Class Entry using login parameters.

14.2 Identify Meal and Milk Items to be recorded
A specific Breakfast meal and Lunch meal must be identified for Class
Entry service. In addition, SMP Milk and ala Carte Milk must also be identified
if you wish to record service for these items using Class Entry.

14.2.2 Select Food Items
Identifies "what" is considered to be the Lunch item and the Breakfast
item for this school (food item preferences are per School).
A preference may also be set for an ala Carte Milk item and SMP Milk.

Note:
It is recommended that these items remain unchanged once identified
as being the Lunch item, the Breakfast item, the ala Carte Milk item, and
SMP Milk for Class Entry purposes. If these Values are changed after service
has been recorded, historical service records will not appear in the Class
Entry module because the items that were designated then as meal items
are no longer valid Class Entry meal items. Data is not lost -- just no
longer viewable in Class Entry. Historical service records may be viewed
using the Accounts module and through Reports.
