Sec. 7h, Find an Application

This application is a tool to help you find a specific household application. You may search by using a complete or partial student ID number, the Application number, the applicant, or student last or first names - or any combination. The search may be limited to include or exclude applications designated as Active, Archived or Incomplete.

7h.1 Find an Application
From Food Service Applications, click on the Find button (Fig. 1) or press Alt-F from the keyboard to run the Find Food Service Application feature (Fig. 2).

The top portion of this screen pertains to Search Parameters (Fig. 3). Any entries present in Student, Applicant or Application fields in the top portion of this window are search parameters. The Find and Clear buttons are Search tools. Find initiates the search based upon the parameters you have entered. Clear removes search parameters. The lower portion of the screen displays Search Results.

    7h.1.1.3 Search by Application
The search in Fig. 6 located all applications with ID numbers beginning with '200'. From this list double-click on the specific application. That application will be inserted into the Application search fields, and search results further limited to applicants and students for that application only. Evaluate students and applicant, and if this is the correct application, single-click on the Application, then click on Select to retrieve that application.

    Re-Cap:

    1. The Find and Clear buttons pertain to search parameters. Find initiates the search based on the parameters that have been entered, and Clear removes current search parameters to allow new parameters to be entered.
    2. The Select button retrieves an application. Single-click on an application, then click on Select to retrieve that application.
    3. The Cancel button closes the Find Application feature and returns to Applications.
    4. Double-clicking on the results of a search uses that specific selection as criteria for an additional search. For example, if you double-click on a student name, that student name is inserted in the student name portion of the Find window, and the associated applicant and application(s) for that student are listed. You must single-click on an application, then click on the Select button to retrieve an application.
