7d.1.2 Select / Add student(s)
Single-click on the student name and click on the Add button,
or you may double-click on the student name to insert this student into
the application (Fig. 2). The Add Student (Application) window will
retain the current search results. Select Done when finished adding
students to this application. To add students in a "batch", hold down the
Shift key or CTRL key and click on student names (selected names do not
need to be in sequential order). Click on the Add button to insert
the selected students. As each student is added to the application, the
system will verify that the student is not present on another application
with conflicting effective dates.
Fig. 3 - 'Batch' add Students to the application
If a student is already on an application within this date range, an alert will note the application and student (Fig. 4). This student will not be added, and the Add function will proceed to the next student in the batch.

Program / Program Number -
Program defaults to Income elig. Use the Tab key to move through
the fields, and complete any additional information, such as changing a
student's Program from Income elig to AFDC, Food Stamps or
FDPIR. If a student's Program = AFDC, Food Stamps, FDPIR this marks the
student as Categorically Approved to receive free meals.
A Program Number must be supplied for these Programs (student Pay
type is automatically set to Free).
Student Income -
Use the horizontal scroll bar to display the Income and Pay
Period fields if student income is reported. An entry in the Income
field requires an entry in the related Pay Period field.
Student Income is included in total Household Income.
Fig. 6 - Delete Student
If the application no longer includes the student due to a change in Household Size, the Re-Apply procedure (see Sec. 7i, Edit/Re-apply) must be used because the household should be submitting a new application . The current application is replicated and then Expired. The duplicate application may then be edited to reflect current household information. This is the most accurate method of maintaining a household's application history and insures the integrity of historical reporting.
Continue to add students until all household students are present on
the application, then move to the Applicant page (Sec.
7e) which may be selected by either clicking on the page tab,
or by using the Page Down key.
