The New button (located at the bottom of the application screen) places a new application into edit mode. Application Status defaults to Active. Application Date defaults to Today's Date and may be edited. After the initial application is completed for this session, default Effective and Expire dates are supplied, based upon the dates used in the previous application. Focus defaults to the Application ID text box. Use the Tab key to move to each field and complete according to the following criteria:

App. Series -
Application Number. User-defined and may be alpha, numeric, or alpha/numeric. Duplicates are not allowed. Series number automatically increments from last used number + one (may be overridden) for this session.

App. Date -
Application Approval Date. References system date, may be edited

For Period -
Inclusive date range for benefits generated by this application. May be edited to allow for retroactive or deferred approval.

Signature -
Check to indicate applicant signature is present. Checkmark may be inserted by clicking on the checkbox, or by moving the focus (Tab key) to the checkbox and pressing the spacebar.
