Income Guidelines must be present before applications may be processed. Also, new Federal guidelines are issued on July 1 for each new school year. Verify that income levels are present and current before applications are processed each new year. Income levels shown in Fig. 2 are for the 1998-1999 school year.
Income Guidelines may be present for more than one year. To view/enter/edit
guidelines for different years, open the Date menu (menu bar), select
Set System Date, and choose any date within the Food Service Year
(7/1 through 6/30 of the following year). The For Period Application
dates determine the Food Service Year and consequently, which Income Guidelines
are in effect.
7a.2 Complete Income Guideline Levels
Use the Tab key to move through the income fields. Enter the dollar
amount for that level, and press Tab to move to the next text field. The
up and down arrows may be used to move vertically through the text fields.
Use the horizontal scroll bar to display income fields for HH Size greater
than 8.
Dollar amounts are entered by typing the numerals, then decimal '10257.'. Zeroes are entered automatically. If the amount contains cents, type '4.94'. It is recommended that all income fields are completed. Completing all income levels allows you to report an individual's income as received yearly, monthly, biweekly etc. on an application. If any of the income categories are omitted from the table you will not be able to calculate a household's income if any income is reported using that pay period. For example, if you wish to report an income as received biweekly, then the biweekly maximum income level must be present in the income table.
