SIS 2000+ Behavior History
Penalties are punishments, such as detentions or suspensions, that are assigned to students because of their involvement in a behavioral infraction. Penalties are linked to a specific behavioral involvement record. More than one penalty may be recorded per record. Some penalties are associated with "suspended" attendance codes and, when assigned and saved, will post suspended attendance codes directly to the Attendance tables. Existing penalties may be edited or deleted.

the involvement record for which a penalty is to be assigned. This can

| Confirm Suspended Attendance code posting -
This step applies only if the penalty Type being saved is linked to a Suspended Attendance Code (Fig. 42).
When the Save is executed, a confirmation dialog will appear (Fig. 43) notifying the user that attendance codes are about to be set. The date range of the suspension period will be displayed (non-school days are skipped).
Answer "Yes" to proceed or "No" to cancel the save. If "Yes", another confirmation dialog (Fig. 44) will display the number of records written or updated. Either value represents the sum of the scheduled periods affected in the date range.
If any attendance records are being updated by this action, a warning message will appear (Fig. 45) before a confirmation message is displayed. This is to remind the user what day/periods will be overwritten by the suspension code.
Click on the Proceed command button to continue the save or Quit to cancel the save. If a date range for a suspension penalty is being changed by this action to a range of less days than the original date range, then another type of warning will appear (Fig. 46) before the final confirmation message. This is to remind the user that previous attendance codes entered by the original date range will not be reversed in the Attendance tables. If the codes need to be changed they will have to be overwritten by initiating another suspension penalty or by editing the student's attendance records using the various other applications in the Attendance program module.
Click on the Proceed command button to continue the save (or
Quit to cancel the save).
