Section 5, Food Orders
If your school district uses the Food Services program module, the Attendance
Class Entry program may have a Food Orders command button at the
bottom of the screen (depending on configuration preferences). This feature
will allow a teacher to enter cafeteria menu item counts at the time
of attendance taking. This information will be forwarded directly to the
Food Services database, thus providing a convenient method for the food
services staff to predict the amount of each menu item they need to prepare
on a given day.
Food order counts are taken per track, per teacher for a specific period/class
on a specific date. Select the desired class. Activate the edit mode, take attendance, if required,
and save the data to exit the edit mode (or Undo to exit the edit
mode if no attendance was taken).

Initiate Count
The food order counts can only be taken in the read-only mode of the
selected class. If you are still in the edit mode, click on the Save
command button or the Undo button to exit the edit mode. Then click
on the enabled Food Orders command button to open the 'Menu Item
Count' screen (Fig. 2).
Enter a date
Even though a specific teacher, class, period and date has been already
been selected, the effective date may be changed to some future date by
selecting another date via the drop-down calendar in the Date field.
If the data to be entered applies to the currently selected date, skip
this step and go to the next step.
Enter count data
Take a student poll in the classroom and enter the counts for each
menu item in the column provided.
Save data
Click on the Save command button to save and export the count
data and close the 'Menu Item Count' (or Cancel to abort).
Exit Attendance Class Entry program
Click on the Quit command button to exit the program and revert
to the Attendance Menu.
