SIS 2000+ Student Narrative Editor

Last update: 08/05/2000 jmm

The Student Narrative Editor is used to enter and edit individual student narratives and classify them by types. Student narratives are comments that can be printed, according to type, on such things as transcripts, report cards, letters, and various other SIS 2000+ reports.

This is a standard Banner application with an initial grid displaying a list of narratives for the current student. Existing narratives may be edited or deleted and new narratives may be added. A faculty member may view all narratives, but is limited to editing only his/her own narratives; a system administrator will be able to see and edit all of a student's narratives.

User Interface Main Screen
This application is normally found in the Academic History program module. From the Academic History Menu, click on the Narrative Editor icon button.

The interface will allow navigation through the selected set of student records, displaying the standard banner for the current record. A narrative filters area allows filtering displayed grid entries by faculty and/or narrative type. A read-only grid displays all appropriate narratives for the student.
