Personal and Professional Renewal and Change
The mission of Utah Principals Academy is to develop and enhance leadership skills of
practicing school administrators so as to provide the most effective principals possible
for Utah public schools.
In support of our mission statement and in response to the Fellows surveys, our
goals for this year of study are:
- To thoughtfully and purposefully determine our mission and values and align those to our
own vision of our own school.
- To link all study to Standards for Leaders (ISLIC) for the intended outcome of
each session.
- To shape school culture to empower teachers and students.
- To create our own schools through personal and professional development to include
introspection, reflection, and evaluation of practices.
- Develop assessment and evaluation programs for improved student learning.
- To study thinking, integrated curriculum for all students.
- To refine communication skills with fellow educators, parents, community.
- To develop ourselves into "agents for change" in promoting a community of
learning in Utah Principals Academy and in our own schools.
