Fine Art

Art Foundations II

This is an entry-level course for the High School Visual Arts Core Curriculum. It is designed to provide an overview and introduction to Visual Arts through studying a variety of art tools and materials. With an emphasis on studio produc- tion, this course is designed to develop higher level thinking, art-related technology skill, art criticism, art history, and aesthetics.

Art History and Criticism

This is an entry-level course for the High School Visual Arts Core Curriculum. It is designed to provide an overview and appreciation of the Visual Arts. With an overview of studio production, this course is designed to develop higher level thinking, art-related technology skill, art criticism, art history, and aesthetics. The prerequisite for this course is Foundations I or II.
No materials are required for this course.

Music Aesthetics

This course is designed for students who seek the opportunity to extend their musical understanding, heighten music listening skills, and increase their ability to respond more fully to music. Experiences will include opportunities to experiment with sounds, analyze famous compositions representative of most styles, and inquire into music’s connections to contemporary life, history, and cultures.
