EDNET/IVC training is required of all distance learning teachers involved with secondary school students. Due to the high cost of travel and the need to deliver distance learning training in an “Any Time, Any Place, Any Path, or Any Pace” mode, we have chosen two options for you to receive the Distance Learning Faculty Training:
Face-to-Face Training
This is a traditional classroom setting where one of the Distance Education Specialists will come to your location and provide the training. If you live within 100 miles of Salt Lake City we recommend the Face-to-Face delivery. Training will be in your distance education classroom after school hours. The training typically can last from two to 6 hours. We encourage the local facilitator to be present as well. Your district distance education coordinator should request this training, but feel free to contact one of the specialists listed below. Just click on the Face-to-Face Training link above and you will find everything you need for the training.On-line Training
This training is done all on-line without the need for a traditional classroom setting. If you live beyond 100 miles from Salt Lake City this option may be best for you. Reading materials and a series of “Podcasts” are available that will guide you through the elements of EDNET/IVC Faculty Training. Just click on the On-Line Training link above and you will find everything you need for an asynchronous training activity.
For more information about the two methods of taining delivery read EDNET Faculty Training and Delivery (PDF).
If you need EDNET/IVC Training contact one of the Distance Education Training Specialists-- Sheryl Hulmston, or Charice Black.
