Graduation Requirements

The following are the secondary social studies core curriculum state requirements:

Junior High/Middle School

• 1.0 - Ancient Civilization/Europe Through the Ages (6th)
• .5 - Utah Studies (7th)
• 1.0 - United States History (8th)

High School/Junior High

2.5 Social Studies Credits are required for High School Graduation
*Required courses for high school graduation

• .5 - *Geography for life (9th)
• .5 - *World Civilizations (10th-12th)
• 1.0 - *United States History II (10th-12th)
• .5 - *Government and Citizenship (recommended for seniors)^
