12ktryitjpgimageOne of the important tasks organisms need to perform is adaptation. If it cannot adapt to its surroundings it may or may not survive.

Your assignment is to list some of the organism's characteristics that enable them to adapt to any given situation. Remember that an adapation is something that is passed on from parent to offspring - not just something an organism wants to have!

Before you begin, take a guess as to whether organisms that reproduce sexually or asexually will have better abilities to adapt.

Set up a plan to find out this information. Then work on it.

You may have to find out what the animal is before you begin finding out what its characteristics are.

When you are finished researching, plan a way to report your information. Make sure you include how the animals compared or contrasted. A graph or two would display this really well.

You may use an idea of your own, or any of the following:

  • Scientific paper
  • Presentation with visuals
  • Song
  • Poem
  • Story
  • These are just a few suggestions.
    • Use your imagination
