ELECTIVE SCIENCE COURSES
Every student is required to take two (2) years of science during grades 9-12 in order to meet state graduation requirements. These two years of science MUST be from the Science Core classes.
In addition to the required state core classes we highly encourage schools to offer science elective classes. Though they do not count as state science credit, elective science courses enhance science education in numerous ways. Elective courses:

2. Allow students to explore other areas of interest.
3. Encourage students to apply what they learned in core classes to other science fields.
4. Capitalize on teacher's interests and areas of expertise.
