The Magic School Bus: Inside the Earth. Joanna Cole. Scholastic Inc., 1987. Available in English at the main branch of the Salt Lake City Public Library, and in Spanish at thefollowing county library branches: South Salt Lake, Tyler, Sandy, and Hunter.

NatureScope – Geology: The Active Earth. National Wildlife Federation, 1988. This guide contains background information and a number of activities that can be used to reinforce concepts covered in the Physical Features of the Earth unit.

World Wide Web Resources

http://athena.wednet.edu/curric/land/todayqk.html This a NASA-sponsored site that give students access to earthquake data around the world. It also has links to numerous other earthquake related sites.

http://volcano.und.nodak.edu/vw.html "Volcano World", put out by the University of North Dakota, is a great site with a wide array of volcano related curriculum, pictures, and background information. This site could be useful to both teachers and students.

http://www.soest.hawaii.edu/SPACEGRANT/class_acts/ The Hawai’i Space Grant Consortium created and maintains this site called "Exploring Planets in the Classroom – Online Activities." Several activities related to volcanoes and folds/faults can be found under the categories "This Dynamic Earth" and "Volcanology."
