Charting the Weather

"Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning. Red sky at night, sailors delight."

Some people are able to look at the sky and make accurate weather predictions. It is difficult to always be correct and to know what the weather will be like for today or for the rest of the week.

Meteorologists are able to use computers, weather satellites, radar and many other instruments to make weather forecasts. They often forecast the weather for a week or longer. Many people depend on accurate weather forecasts to plan activities ahead of time.

Print out the following charts to record your information. You will need one for each week you are observing the weather. After you have completed your observations, make a line graph to show the weather patterns.
