NOTE TO PARENTS!

Fourth Grade Sci-ber Text is full of color and animations. It was written to be entertaining, educational, and fourth grader friendly. By using this site, children can find a wealth of information relating to what their teachers will be covering in science this year. As parents, you are able to support the instruction in the classroom with fun activities to be done at home. Teachers in Utah base their lesson plans in science on State Science objectives. This site also contains connections to other related sites, written assignments, experiments and labs. This site may be used in conjunction with the science in the classroom, as enrichment, remediation, and possibly for make up assignments. It is also designed to be used at home with your supervision.

IMPORTANT

Technical information: This site is designed to work best with a monitor set to at least 600 pixels wide. You can check the display settings in your computer's "Control Panel". In order for your students to view all of the "fun stuff" on these pages, you may need to download some plug-ins. A plug-in is a program that your browser (Netscape, Internet Explorer, AOL, etc.) uses to view movies and animation. The plug-ins below are free. To download these programs, just click the boxes below and follow the directions for your type of computer and browser. The time required for downloading will these programs will vary. You may want to check to see if you have these programs already installed on your computer before downloading.

HINT: Be sure that the downloaded files are expanded or unstuffed, and placed in the plug-ins file in your browser folder.

We hope that you will find this site to be of value, and that it provides the opportunity to become more involved with your child's education. We also hope that you have some fun! Happy surfing!
