NOTE TO PARENTS!
As you may have
noticed by the Introductory page, the Fourth Grade Sciber
Site is full of color and cartoons. It was written to be
entertaining, educational, and fourth grader friendly. By
using this site, children can find a wealth of information
relating to what their teachers will be covering in science
this year. As parents, you can click the number found beside
each page of the site to view the standards and objectives
that relate to each page. Teachers in Utah base their lesson
plans in science on these objectives. This site also
contains connections to other related sites, written
assignments, experiments and labs. This site may be used in
conjunction with science in the classroom, as enrichment,
remediation, and possibly for make up assignments. It is
also designed to be used at home with your supervision.
Because this site has just been recently posted on the web,
your child's teacher may not be aware of it. Please take the
opportunity to introduce them to this resource if
appropriate.

In order for your child to view all of the "fun stuff" on these pages, you may need to download some plug-ins. A plug-in is a program that your browser (Netscape, Internet Explorer, AOL, etc.) uses to view movies and animation. The plug-ins below are free and may be used with other programs and sites as well. To download these programs, just click the boxes below and follow the directions for your type of computer and browser. Times for downloading these programs will vary. You may want to check to see if you have these programs already installed on your computer before downloading. HINT: Be sure that the downloaded files are expanded or unstuffed, and placed in the plug-ins file of your browser folder.
