Welcome to the Utah Reading First Program

Reading First is a federal reading initiative for K-3 Title I sub-part B of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.

Through the Reading First program eligible districts and schools receive support to apply scientifically based reading research and the proven instructional and assessment tools consistent with this research to ensure that all children can read at grade level or above by the end of third grade.
