The following videos where taped on May 18, 2005 during Melody McCoy's presentation on sovereignty at USOE to Title VII Coordinators, Tribal Education Directors, community members, Higher Education and Utah State Office of Education staff.

Sovereignty an issue that is an important concern for Tribal Nations as it relates to the justice system, education, gaming, natural resources, health and human services. Tribal Nations have a unique relationship with the United States Government that allows each tribe to have jurisdiction over people and reservations.
