Overview
In the 2009-2010 school year, nine elementary schools along the Wasatch Front will implement Mandarin language immersion programs for kindergarteners. In these special classes 50% of instruction time will be conducted in Mandarin and 50% in English. Each year, schools will add another year of Chinese instruction thus building fully articulated K-6 immersion programs.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the families in Utah and will equip our children with important skills to help them function in the global community.
