How Teachers Learn Technology Best
PDF Document
When it comes to teachers learning and valuing the effective use of new technologies, some schools are discovering that the kinds of training programs offered in the past may not represent the most generative method of reaching a full range of teachers and their students. The key term is "generative" - meaning that behaviors and daily practice will be changed for the better as a consequence of the professional development experience. Fortunately, some schools are now identifying approaches more likely to encourage teachers to employ these technologies on a frequent and sustained basis to enhance student learning.

Strategies for Successful Distance Learning
PDF Document
Strategies for Successful Distance Learning. Well, we have good news for you! Distance learning classes are not that much different from traditional classes-except that now there is a physical preparation between you, your instructor and other students. By using telecommunications, students in several different locations can now meet together "live" as one big class. While you still ask questions, participate in class, take notes, do assignments and study between class sessions, learning at a distance may require you to make some adaptations. This guide can be used for students as well as teachers.
Strategies for Teaching at a Distance

Almost every institution that offers online courses also provides some kind of training opportunities for its new instructors-even more opportunities, sometimes, than it provides to those who teach in classrooms. What should I look for? What considerations should I look for in preparing my distance learning lesson?
