EDNET Team Members

Teaching using the EDNET system requires the cooperation of many team members. In the regular classroom, the instructor is more autonomous and in control of day-to-day instruction and learning activities. In the EDNET classroom, the instructor becomes a member of a team and shares control of the classroom with all members of the EDNET team. A five page document about being part of the "EDNET team."

Production of Materials for EDNET

The production of instructional materials at the high school level is the responsibility of the teacher. There are EDNET sites where there are facilities and support personnel to assist in the production of instructional materials. Some high schools have video graphic production classes. Some high schools have television/video production classes and facilities.

Effective Instruction

It is a paradox that technology can overcome physical distance but at the same time can generate psychological distance. Your challenge is to facilitate interaction between you and your students, encourage active participation, promote effective communication, and motivate them toward academic achievement. Effective instruction is effective instruction regardless of the delivery system. However, when a teacher has been teaching in the traditional classroom setting, a mind-set change is required to make the class equally effective in the EDNET setting. Some effective strategies that can enhance teaching performance and improve learning opportunities.
