Utah Board Rules regarding Accreditation

Visiting Cycle..

  • All accredited schools go through a self-evaluation and peer-team review at least every six years.

  • Team reviews utilize practitioners and require cooperation from all school districts to provide for successful visits.

  • Teams are composed of teachers from neighboring districts, administrators, and college instructors. The host school pays for travel, food, and overnight accommodations for visiting team members.

  • When serving on a visiting team, teachers’ substitute fees are paid by their home district as per existing reciprocal agreement between districts.
