New Elementary Guide Book

These drafts of the guidebook for the elementary art, dance, drama, and music core are a work in progress posted here for the purpose of inviting you to try them out and give us feedback.

It is not expected that a classroom teacher would teach all four, but would select one artform and team with other teachers who would teach the rest. In this way, students and teachers could have meaningful, developmental learning/teaching experiences in all four artforms.

 

It is also recommended to begin in the most comfortable area of the core and when satisfied with the results, gradually add more. Each arts skill a child learns correctly can be practiced and strengthened by using it to learn or communicate learning in another subject.
