*In the case of a student who has an SEP that indicates the intent to specialize in dance, music, theatre, or visual arts, the district may approve, on an individual basis, fulfilling the seventh and eighth grade arts requirement with both 0.5 units in the same art form, if this emphasis cannot be accomplished through elective options.
