Overview | Registration | Agenda | Presenters/Sessions

The focus of this conference is on making the arts simply a lovely way to "live" at school. We will be experiencing the energy, focus, and excitement they bring to learning, and to just plain old life in general. We will see how they help us to celebrate, explore, remember, honor, create, become, serve, communicate, care, and understand.

We recommend that schools send teams with one person responsible for covering each artform exclusively. District Arts Coordinators are encouraged to send teams from their district who can return and provide training locally. This year, the following new items have been added:

  • Advanced Training
(Endorsement Track) in the four artforms will be held at the Marriott Hotel. This training is designed for patrons who have previously attended the conference and have substantial knowledge and skills in the artform, or for those teachers who are currently working on an endorsement.
  • Intermediate Level
These In-Depth Core Sessions addressing a specific concept/skill and its development from kindergarten through the 6 th grade. Each session is 2 ½ hours in length.
  • Introductory Training
These sessions provide an overview of the artform and strategies for classroom instruction. These sessions take 70 minutes and will repeat.

Those patrons who register for classes that are scheduled in both the Marriott Hotel and Eccles Conference Center must plan on traveling 1 ½ blocks between venues.
